Dear Researcher,

In order to access the Academic Affairs Office pages from outside of the Weizmann Institute of Science (e.g. abroad), you must first open a secure connection to Weizmann and tell the firewall machine that you wish to use the http service on the machine www1.

To do this, go to http://block.weizmann.ac.il:900
After connecting to http://block.weizmann.ac.il:900, you will get a screen with a Login prompt.
Enter your userid and press Submit.

You will get a screen asking you for your passcode and password.
Enter your PIN, followed by the tokencode currently displayed on your SecurID card, and press the Authentication button.

You will receive the following screen:

Client Authentication Remote Service
FireWall1 message: User xyuser authenticated by SecurID
Methods:

Standard Sign-on
Sign-off
Specific Sign-on

Select a method then press submit

Choose Specific Sign-on and press Submit.

You will then get a screen where you can fill in the services you want and the host on which you want to perform that service.
Fill in http for the service and www1 for the host.
After you fill in the information, press the Submit button on the bottom of the screen.

You have now established a secure connection to www1 using a web browser (the http service).
Proceed to http://www1.weizmann.ac.il/acadaff/ and choose the links you want. When prompted for a userid and password, enter what you were given by the Academic Affairs Office via email.
