Prof. Atan Gross is married to Ruth and they have two boys Gil and Eyal. Prof. Gross earned his PhD at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, performed his Postdoctoral studies at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, and joined the Department of Biological Regulation at the Weizmann Institute in 2000. The major research topics of the Gross lab evolve
around how mitochondria
act as “headquarters”
to coordinate
metabolism and
apoptosis and
the relevance
to disease.
