My main area of research is the dynamics of the gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn. Together with Yohai Kaspi, we study the large scale flow on the planets using forward and inverse modelling. We develop methods relating the flow dynamics to measurements of the gravity and magnetic fields, performed by the NASA missions of Juno and Cassini. We are also part of the ESA JUICE mission, where our Israeli built USO instument will be installed. In addition, coming from a background of physical oceanography and climate dynamics I also study issues related to the Earth climate system.
