Research

Aharonson's research addresses questions in Mars surface geology, crustal structure, Mercury’s geophysics and magnetic field, impact cratering on various scales, Titan’s lakes and climate, and planetary ice. He is a member of various spacecraft investigations of solar system bodies. He is also pursuing research topics in exoplanets, focusing on their dynamics and physical properties via transit effects, across the spectrum from the IR to the UV.
