The group started in the summer of 2023.
As of Sept 2025, the group is full and we unfortunately can not accept any MSc or PhD students in the first half of 2026.
For someone who already has proven and relevant research experience, a rare exception might be possible.
I’d be happy to talk in person or just write to poddubny@weizmann.ac.il
Current projects include
- multiple-excited subradiant states
- photon interactions with the Λ-atom arrays
- Rydberg polaritons
- quantum entanglement in nonstationary optomechanical systems.
Mandatory entrance exam (used before 2025):
I am still unfamiliar with the details of various undergraduate education programs, and I know from experience that I am bad at conducting interviews. So I have implemented the following blanket policy: I ask anyone potentially interested in doing MSc/PhD with me, and, in some cases, a rotation, first to do some mini-project. This means working on a related theoretical physics problem at home and sending me the solution, which we will discuss later on. Personally, I find such a written exam more useful than just an interview.
