Data Science Research Center

With recent technological advances, in multiple application domains, scientists and engineers now routinely acquire huge amounts of data. A key challenge is to extract useful information from these large and complex data sets, enabling significant advances in the respective fields.

The mission of the center is to address these challenges, by supporting research in data science throughout the Weizmann campus. Beyond advancing fundamental basic research, it aims to contribute to discovery in the natural sciences through the application of data science techniques. It wishes to foster fruitful, cross-discipline collaborations -- both within academia, and partnering with industry and government -- thus ensuring that the power of data science will be put to use for the benefit of society.

The data science center supports both collaborative projects and phd students working in data science in a broad range of applications. See the links on the left for further details.
