“Tarbut BaSela” is a unique program of the Weizmann Institute of Science—an evolving collection of events, encounters, and performances that seek to explore and discover the new, to observe and understand reality, and to influence it. The program is driven by quality, relevance, boldness, curiosity, inventiveness, and playfulness, alongside an invitation to engage with processes of creation, research, and discovery. It encourages the search for creative tools and artistic practices that aim to break new ground and offer fresh perspectives on the world and on humanity.
“Tarbut BaSela” curates outstanding and compelling works and creators—sources of inspiration—and invites both large and small creative bodies, institutional and independent alike, to take part in new encounters with ideas, art, and people, for adults and children.
The program is intended for the Institute community as well as for the general public beyond it.
