SHALOM & WELCOME!

The Visiting Scientist & Housing Branch's role is to support the academic mission of the Institute through the provision of accommodation for students, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scientists, tenure staff and pensioners of the Institute.  We strive to provide a safe and supportive residential environment that fosters a sense of community and enhances the educational experience
Our experienced team provide housing solutions in fully furnished dormitories and apartments in a number of locations on and off campus.
Whether you are planning a visit for a month or a few years, we are more than able to make your, and your families life easier and help you – moving to Israel is to a new country, culture and language for most, and we can assist and advise on housing, schools, tourism, relocating, shipping items to Israel, and types of visas and much more.  We encourage guests to bring concerns regarding their rooms, apartments, or buildings to the attention of the Housing Office, but we ask for your patience and understanding as large renovation projects are budgeted for, planned, and completed.

We provide trips, activities and programs for your family members and are happy to locate any dance, music or hobby groups that they may be interested in.  We will lend you an extra mattress if you have guests coming to visit you for a couple of weeks, advise you what’s worth seeing in Israel while they are here, and point you in the direction of the best hairdressers, supermarkets, and healthcare providers as needed.

In short, our aim is to make you and your family feel at home here at the Weizmann Institute of Science, in Rehovot and in Israel.

Feel free to come and visit us if you are at the Institute (our office is in Lunenfeld-Kunin Residences - number 82 on the campus map), and to drop us an email anytime.
