Summary of the LAG BAOMER 2021 measurement campaign at the EPS

Date: May 2, 2021

The non-stop LAG BAOMER 2021 measurement campaign, conducted by the aerosol group of Prof. Yinon Rudich, has come to an end. Now all is left is to wait for the analyses and results of the numerous measurements.

Non-stop measurements, conducted by the aerosol group of Prof. Yinon Rudich, which started on Thursday evening lasted until yesterday (Saturday). The students responsible for the measurement event had a few white nights in an attempt to measure the gases and airborne particles with the instruments they installed onboard the drone. They conducted several vertical flights throughout the event, where clear signs of air pollution were observed, and the camera detected fires and pollution clouds.

In addition, the changes in aerosol properties throughout LAG BAOMER were measured in the lab, while on the roof of the EPS building aerosol particles were collected on filters for subsequent chemical analysis. Now all is left is to wait for the analyses and results of the numerous measurements they conducted.
