VIDEO-LM – Adasha (Trump Foundation, Grant #7/143)
The VIDEO-LM project (Viewing, Investigating and Discussing Environments Of Learning Mathematics) focuses on enhancing mathematics teachers' reflective skills and their mathematical knowledge for teaching, through watching and discussing videotaped lessons. Discussions are led by professional facilitators, implementing a unique framework of analysis ("the six-lens framework").
Processes of reflection and enhancement of mathematical knowledge for teaching following peer discussions of videotaped mathematics lessons (ISF Grant #1539/15)
This study investigatd the processes that mathematics teachers engage in when participating in video-based peer discussions, guided by a framework developed for this purpose. The context in which the investigation was conducted was the VIDEO-LM project.
Professionalization processes of facilitators in mathematics teachers' professional development: Toward an empirically-based theoretical framework (GIF Grant #I-1426-117.4/2017)
- This research focuses on facilitators’ professionalization processes in the first year of conducting PD courses. Our goal is to capture not only the facilitators’ knowledge growth during their qualification period before they enter their actual job, but mainly the development of their practices and decision-making processes on the job.
