Bina’s drug discovery program - Deadline for pre-proposal submission 12/12/24

Bina is launching a new program for drug discovery that aims to identify scientific breakthroughs in biological processes, disease mechanisms and potential drug targets that can serve as the basis for the development of new drugs and therapies. All projects will be mentored and supervised by Bina’s teams and professional advisors.

Funding amount: up to $500,000
Funding period: 24-36 months

The application consists of two stages:
1) Pre-proposal: a concise description of the scientific idea, current state of the research and future research activities.
2) Full proposal for invited applicants: detailed description of scientific, technological and commercial aspects of the project, work plans and milestones.

Eligibility criteria:

All Principal Investigators (PIs) employed by the Weizmann Institute are eligible to apply, under the same criteria as used by the WIS ORGP.

Fields of invention can be, but are not limited to the development of:

• Small molecule modulators of novel therapeutic targets
• Therapeutic or diagnostic antibodies or other biologics
• Cell and gene therapies
• Vaccines
• Oligonucleotide-based therapeutics and drug delivery methods
• Novel drug delivery vehicles and carriers
• Clinical biomarkers and/or relevant diagnostic methods

12.12.2024 Deadline for pre-proposal submission

20.01.2025 Announcement of projects selected for submission of full proposal

02.03.2025 Submission deadline for full proposals

29.05.2025 Announcement of funded proposals
