Measurement of Quantum Continuous Variables and Their Entanglement

We have pioneered protocols for the measurement of quantum continuous variables and their Einstein-Podolski-Rosen (EPR) correlations/entanglement. Although general, these protocols pertain to continuous variables of matter waves, electromagnetic and  other bosonic fields. In particular:

  • We introduced the concept, now commonly used, of  teleporting  quantum continuous variables via conditional measurements of photon numbers.
  • We were the first to suggest a measure for EPR entanglement of  quantum continuous variables.
  • We introduced an information measure for collisionally  entangled quantum  wavepackets.
  • We proposed protocols for quantum wavepacket localization by frequent monitoring.
  • We studied anomalous interference properties of  translationally-internally entangled  quantum partiicles.
