Premiere Screening: Delegation | Asaf Saban

A rare and beautiful coming-of-age film by Asaf Saban (“Home in the Galilee”) set in contemporary times: towards the end of their senior year in high school, Frish, Nitzan and Ido travel to the concentration camps in Poland as part of the school delegation, the traditional journey that tens of thousands of Israeli youth undertake every year. There, among classmates and at the tumultuous peak of adolescence, they will freeze in the Polish winter, cry with sorrow, roll with laughter, and get up to mischief as only teenagers abroad can do. They will have heady experiences (not necessarily for the right reasons or in the right places), and we will bid them farewell in the same place we met them one week ago, and several light years later, on the way home.

Starring: Yoav Bavly, Naomi Harari, and Leib Levin (Hatzvi Kan11)

Israel, Poland, Germany 2023 | 100 minutes

Language: Hebrew, Polish | English and Hebrew translation

Stagetalk: A conversation with director Asaf Saban will be held after the screening.
