I studied mathematics and later worked in algorithm development before transitioning into systems biology during my PhD with Prof. Naama Barkai. Initially trained as a computational biologist, I gradually moved toward experimental work during my PhD and postdoctoral training. My doctoral research explored the interplay between transcription, chromatin, and DNA replication, primarily using yeast as a model system. For my postdoctoral work, I was drawn to plants, where I investigated fundamental aspects of transcription in a more complex, multicellular context.
I am married to Maya, and we have two children, Daniel and Ella.
