new and exciting course by Prof. Gad Asher and Dr. Yaarit Adamovich
Syllabus
Welcome to "Circadian Clocks: Exploring Nature's Timekeepers," an exciting journey into the intricate system of circadian clocks, uncovering how they operate and how we can influence them.
Did you know that nearly every cell in your body has its own clock? These circadian clocks orchestrate a symphony of biological rhythms that influence every aspect, from gene expression to complex physiological processes and behaviour.
We'll begin with introductory lectures providing essential background knowledge. Then, you'll take the lead! You will present an assigned seminal research paper, covering groundbreaking discoveries in circadian biology across various organisms. Following the presentation, we will discuss the paper together.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will gain a circadian perspective to biological questions. Whether you're studying genes, cells, or entire organisms, you'll instinctively consider the "when" alongside the "what" and "how" in your experiments.
