Oscillations in metabolite levels and metabolic pathways

We use high-throughput approaches to uncover oscillations in metabolite levels and metabolic pathways. In one study, our lab quantified hundreds of hepatic lipids across the day and investigated their regulation by the circadian clock and feeding time.

Another line of research focuses on the circadian accumulation of polyamines - positively charged amines essential for cellular function - and their role in circadian rhythmicity (Adamovich et al., Cell Metabolism, 2014; Zwighaft et al., Cell Metabolism, 2015; Neufeld-Cohen et al., PNAS, 2016; Aviram et al., Molecular Cell, 2016).

We continue to explore how the circadian clock regulates a broad spectrum of metabolic pathways, seeking new insights into the temporal organization of metabolism.
