Your role will include:

The Communications and Spokesperson Department at the Weizmann Institute of Science is seeking a Head of Internal Communications.

Job Description:
Overall responsibility for leading internal communications, aligning with the Institute’s needs and supporting organizational processes, including:
• Developing, implementing, and updating the internal communications strategy, including policies, guiding principles, and content hierarchy
• Building periodic work plans with measurable goals, prioritization, adaptability, and ongoing monitoring
• Defining and implementing workflows and professional standards
• Providing professional guidance and consulting to scientific and administrative sectors on internal communications, including during major organizational processes (structural changes, strategic initiatives, and cross-institute projects)
• Developing communication skills among managers and supporting message development
• Managing internal content and communication channels
• Fostering collaborations and working with internal stakeholders to support their communication needs
• Monitoring and implementing trends, tools, and innovations in internal communications
• Building annual budgets in line with work plans and conducting ongoing budget control
• Working across multiple interfaces within and outside the Institute

 

Skills and abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Consulting, or a related field – required (Master’s degree – significant advantage)
• At least 5 years of experience leading internal communications in large, complex organizations – required (experience supporting organizational change processes from a communications perspective – an advantage)
• Experience managing a team – required
• Experience working with tools, platforms, and trends in internal communications – required (familiarity with project management platforms – an advantage)
• Experience managing budgets and working with external vendors and professional service providers – required
• Native-level proficiency in Hebrew and English – required
• Familiarity with the Weizmann Institute and/or scientific-academic content – an advantage
• Full proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
• Initiative, strong organizational skills, and high level of self-management
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
