Metacell 2

Metacell 2 ("metacells") is a recursive divide and conquer algorithm allowing efficient decomposition of scRNA-seq datasets of any size into small and cohesive groups of cells denoted as metacells, which are high-quality non-sparse samples of the scRNA expression manifold, suitable for further analysis. Metacell-2 is implemented over the scanpy framework for easy integration in any analysis pipeline. The next steps are to provide efficient and robust projection of query data onto a metacells-based atlas with supervised annotations, and incrementally fortify such an atlas with additional data.
