Molecular and cellular biology of cancer
Our aim is to understand the molecular and cellular processes that control normal cell (and tissue) behavior, and how they become perturbed in cancer. Specifically, we focus on:
- The p53 tumor suppressor pathway
- The Hippo tumor suppressor pathway
- Chromatin modifications in cancer (particularly histone H2B ubiquitination)
- microRNAs in cancer
- Crosstalk between cancer cells and their microenvironment
