Biochemist
Your role will include:
The research group of Alexandra Teier is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated biochemist with a PhD in Biochemistry/Biophysics or a closely related field, and at least two years of postdoctoral experience (including postdoc training).
The successful candidate will collaborate with Israeli and international team members, develop experimental and data-analysis methods, improve measurement setups, and contribute to scientific publications.
The Tayar group conducts experimental research in biophysics and soft matter, including molecular energy transduction, molecular machines, and emergent properties of biomaterials.

Required Qualifications
- PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a closely related field, with at least two years of postdoctoral experience (including postdoctoral training)
- Native-level English proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High level of self-learning ability and scientific curiosity
- Proven ability to write code and analyze data (e.g., MATLAB, C)
- Significant experience in biophysical measurements and microscopy
- Experience working with software–hardware interfaces
- Experience in protein expression and purification
- Hands-on experience with microscopy
- Experience in cloning
Advantages
- Hands-on work with instrumentation (microscopy and 3D printing)
- Experience in microfabrication
- Background in microbiology and/or protein purification
- DNA cloning experience
- Additional programming skills (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
