Congratulations to Jie Jao on the publication of her new paper!
The study introduces a novel reconstruction of Dead Sea lake levels based on pore-water Mg²⁺ concentrations and provides new insights into hydroclimate variability in the Eastern Mediterranean over the past ~18,000 years. The findings identify three major drought episodes associated with changes in North Atlantic ocean circulation and emphasize the implications of past climate variability for future water resources in the region.
