Your role will include:
A service laboratory in the field of microbiology and molecular biology is seeking a Research Staff to join a professional team supporting research through work with genomic libraries, plasmids, and advanced fermentation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Culturing microorganisms in media and fermentation systems
- Performing molecular and genetic laboratory work using advanced techniques
- Conducting PCR, cloning, and transformation procedures
- Managing, maintaining, and distributing genomic libraries and plasmids
- Running fermentation-based experiments and monitoring experimental processes
- Maintaining and updating laboratory databases
- Providing ongoing support and service to institute researchers
Skills and abilities:
- MSc in Biology / Biochemistry – required
- At least 2 years of laboratory experience – required
- Experience in molecular biology techniques – required
- Hands-on experience with PCR, cloning, and transformation methods – required
- Experience in culturing microorganisms (bacteria, yeast, fungi) – advantage
- Experience working with fermenters – advantage
- High proficiency in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong responsibility and attention to detail
- Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
