The SAMPL Lab focuses on developing new technologies that more efficiently extract and process signals and information across a wide range of tasks, including medical imaging, radar, communication, scientific and optical imaging and biological inference. The lab also develops model-based methods for artificial intelligence that aid in obtaining increased information using minimal resources.

Candidates must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and have managerial and technological experience. In addition, the candidate should have a proven scientific track record, enjoy a scientific challenge and possess a drive to be both a leader and a member of a dynamic team. 
Responsibilities include managing and conducting pioneering research, mentoring students, assisting in the writing of grants and manuscripts and providing technological and scientific support.

We are looking for an experienced engineer with knowledge in RF system simulation tools and modeling, Matlab experience in definition and implementation of RF calibrations. Experience with systems using phased array antennas, especially experience in implementing spatial diversity or beamforming is an advantage. Candidates should have vast experience in Analog and Digital domains.

Minimum Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical engineering or equivalent with 7 years of experience
• Strong basis in Signal processing
• Experience working with lab equipment (Spectrum, Scope, Electronic Loads)
• Hands-on experience working in a lab environment with ability to analyze technical issues
• Minimum of two years experience in board design (both analog, digital and RF), electrical testing and electrical debug - advantage
• Experience in analog and/or power electronics designs (DC/DC topologies design, Analog circuits design, noise and signal integrity concerns)
• Developing RX/TX chains, filter design, mixers, synthesizers, digital modulations
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and choosing components
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and choosing components
• Ability to work with the RF layout designer
• Ability to bring-up RF cards
• Team player with an ability to function independently with minimal supervision, good interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated personality
• High skills in English, speaking and writing

Experience required with development of algorithms for medical imaging, use of image processing tools, computer vision, machine learning, state-of-the-art AI algorithms and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, OpenCV etc.). Candidates will work with leading medical institutions in Israel and around the world and lead the clinical AI activities in the lab.

Minimum Requirements

• • M.Sc./Ph.D. in electrical engineering / computer science / physics or equivalent.
  • Over 5 years of research and development in industry and/or academy of computer vision algorithms.
  • Over 3 years of Python development experience.
  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks and practical experience in developing algorithms in the field of computer vision.
  • Experience in working with medical data - an advantage.
  • Matlab, GIT, Linux experience - an advantage.
  • Fluent in English
  • Team player with an ability to function independently with minimal supervision, good interpersonal and communication skills.
