About the program

Launched as part of Weizmann’s commitment to diversifying the scientific community, the DIAMOND Program offers a holistic framework of financial, academic, and emotional support to first-year MSc students each year. Participants receive a fully funded support package that includes personal mentorship, tailored English instruction, counseling services, housing assistance, and additional resources-creating a stable foundation for success both inside and outside the laboratory.

The DIAMOND Program plays a pivotal role in expanding pathways to opportunity for students from Arab, ultra-Orthodox, first-generation, and low-income or geographically remote communities, empowering them to become the next generation of researchers, innovators, and leaders in science.
While talent is universal, opportunity is not. The DIAMOND Program ensures that a student’s background does not determine their future. More than a scholarship, DIAMOND is a community and a launchpad for individuals with the potential to shape the future of science. By nurturing diverse talent, Weizmann strengthens the scientific ecosystem with new ideas, perspectives, and voices-benefiting both the Institute and the global research community.
