The Young Weizmann Scholars Program is designed for undergraduate students in science programs at other higher-education institutions in Israel. The program aims to support and develop their interest in pursuing scientific careers and to foster their curiosity and commitment through hands-on research experience.

The program offers a unique educational opportunity to join a research group at the Weizmann Institute and participate in experimental or theoretical work under the direct guidance of its scientists.
 

Who may apply?

 

The program aims to increase the participation of students from underrepresented groups in science within higher education.
It is open to Israeli students from the following groups:

•   Arab and Druze students
•   Ethiopian Israelis
•   Students from the Haredi community
•   Students from Israel’s geographic periphery who are the first in their family to pursue higher education

Applicants should be in their second or third year of undergraduate studies in physics, chemistry, life sciences, medicine, mathematics, or computer science.

•    Letters of recommendation (an advantage)
