The SHDSL service (short for Single-pair High-speed Digital Subscriber Line) is based on proven DSL technology (also in use by Bezeq). Dedicated cabling connecting scientist residences to the service and a router supporting wired connections for up to four computers provide Institute scientists with access to the very same network services typically available to them in the lab. Among the service’s benefits are continuous connection to the Institute and independence of a dedicated software dialer. We constantly monitor both service line and network gear to detect and resolve any potential malfunction.

A wireless access point may optionally be ordered to support wireless Internet access for mobile devices.
