Requests for scientific equipment maintenance are to be set up as service-classified (request classification 2 – Services) under the following categories—

Important notes for establishment of a scientific equipment maintenance request:
- The PO (Purchase Order) number or inventory number of the relevant equipment must be specified on the request’s “General Information” tab, under “Internal Notes”.
- The request may include acquisition of a service contract, PM (preventative maintenance services), repairs (work and travel hours related to equipment service, remote support hours, replacement part installations) and more.
- In cases service contract acquisition for a device, the name of the device and the service contract duration must clearly be specified on the request entry.
- Should data on maintenance conducted on the device over the year prior to establishment of the request, or a previous service purchase order number (in the case of a service contract) or any other relevant data exist – this data is to be attached to the request.
