Cloud-based File Synchronization Solutions

	Box	Dropbox

Unique Sync Capabilities	Performance: Box sync provides satisfactory throughput even on high latency connections. It features per-customer acceleration mechanisms, typically provisioned as part of the preliminary new customer setup process. Selective sync: Box does not support client-side configuration for selection of specific sync folders. Selective sync may be achieved by using an individual, designated user ID on each synced device. Linux support: Box provides Web upload capability for Linux clients, with optional scheduling automation.	Performance: Dropbox supports multi-threaded syncing to deliver satisfactory throughput on high latency connections. It additionally features failsafe connection thread reestablishment mechanisms for enhanced syncing resiliency. Selective sync: Dropbox supports client-side configuration for selection of specific sync folders. This capability allows selective syncing from multiple devices, eliminating unnecessary cross-device data propagation. Linux support: Dropbox offers a fully-featured Linux sync client.
