Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI-powered tool integrated across Microsoft 365 applications, and designed to enhance creativity and productivity.
Its key features include:
- Copilot chat - facilitates quick information retrieval and task execution via an AI chat feature allowing users to interact with AI across Microsoft 365 applications.
- Word integration - enables users to efficiently generate and refine content, by assisting in drafting, editing and summarizing documents.
- Excel integration - simplifies complex data tasks with data analysis capabilities, such as generating formulas, creating visualizations and providing insights.
- PowerPoint integration - streamlines presentation creation by designing slides, suggesting layouts and summarizing content.
- Outlook integration - enhances e-mail communication efficiency by helping to draft e-mails, summarizing lengthy threads and suggesting responses.

License Terms
Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing terms are as follows:
- First subscription year priced at $30 per user per month.
- Registration available to all Weizmann Institute community members with a primary institutional Exchange Online (365) e-mail account.
- Interactions with 365 Copilot are mainly facilitated through an Office 365 add-in deployed only when signed into the Office application with the primary e-mail account. Computers using earlier Office versions, or those signed in with a non-institutional Office account, will not have access to full Microsoft 365 Copilot functionality (see instructions on how to check what version of Office you're using).
Registration
To register for Microsoft 365 Copilot:
- Request your departmental administration to register you for the Copilot resource in Internal Services.
- Following successful assignment of the license by IT, you will receive e-mail notification on order completion.
- The Copilot add-in icon (
) will gradually appear in your Office applications. To speed up add-in deployment, you may want to restart your computer. You may alternatively launch Microsoft Word, then click Account at the bottom of the application's File menu, click Update License (on the right-hand side), sign in and reenter your Weizmann e-mail address.
Regardless of add-in functionality, you may access the Microsoft 365 Copilot chatbot directly on your browser.
