Cisco Jabber delivers a mobile collaboration experience on any device, all in a single UC application with the following capabilities:
- Presence and IM.
- Voice, video, voice messaging.
- Desktop sharing and conferencing.
It allows collaboration from any workspace, including PC, Mac, tablets and smartphones, and supports integration with Microsoft Office.
Installation
Jabber can be installed on various platforms, as follows:
- PCs - Jabber is installed on all PCs automatically (should Jabber not be installed on your PC, contact the Service Desk at extension 4444).
- Macs - Jabber for Mac is to be installed via the Weizmann Self Service app (should you not have this service installed, register for it at wis-jss).
- Android * - Jabber can be installed via Google Play.
- iOS devices * - Jabber can be installed via the App Store.
* Once the Jabber mobile app is installed, contact the Telephony section to activate the account.
