The Diversity & Inclusion Office at the Weizmann Institute of Science is committed to fostering an open, just, and diverse scientific community—where everyone feels they belong.
The office works to increase the representation of groups currently underrepresented among students and staff at the Institute, including Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) Jews, Arab society, Ethiopian-Israelis, and individuals from socio-economic peripheries.
In addition to providing personal support to students from minority and marginalized backgrounds throughout their academic journey, the office promotes equity, fairness, and a respectful environment for all. It also facilitates conflict resolution processes and works closely with the Institute’s LGBTQ+ student alliance.
The office’s vision is for every student, scientist, and researcher to feel like an integral part of the Weizmann scientific community. Human diversity and pluralism are not just values—they are essential drivers of scientific excellence and breakthrough innovation.
