The mission of the Department of Veterinary Resources is to improve the health and well being of humans and animals by advancing research and training

The Weizmann Institute research covers all aspects of basic and applied research in life science with strong emphasis on cancer, autoimmune and infectious diseases, neurobiology, genetics, and reproduction biology. The goal of the Department of Veterinary Resources is to contribute to the advancement of the Weizmann Institute biomedical research mission by providing excellence in animal care and specialized research services. The department of Veterinary Resources is a centrally managed, AAALAC accredited program that is responsive, efficient, and accountable to the Weizmann Institute researchers’ needs. In addition to full range of essential and specialized veterinary services, Veterinary Resources professional staff is available for consultation on all aspects of laboratory animal medicine and to participate in collaborative research
