Ordering rodents from Harlan
The following procedure regulates the ordering of animals, as well as animal feed, materials, equipment, and consumables intended for animal use, in a centralized and controlled manner that complies with ethical, regulatory, and professional requirement.
- Orders for next day animals from Harlan will be received by Veterinary Resources office until 12:00 PM.
- You must have an IACUC approved protocol under which these animals will be studied.

Importing rodents from Jackson Laboratory

- Please note that we submit Jackson’s orders once a month.
- You must have an IACUC approved protocol under which these animals will be studied.

Ordering instructions: Complete animal breeding services request online through:

- Write just any strain, and in the “Notes” field write the full name of the strain and its catalogue number.
- Detailed ordering instructions are provided in a short PDF tutorial, demonstrating how to fill in and submit a request for Animal Import/Export.
