Main use Digital lab notebook Lab Archives is a secure, fast and easy to use tool enabling labs to migrate from paper hard copy-based notebooks to an all-digital medium, with all lab data kept safe and maintained for years via the service's advanced backup features. With Lab Archive, users gain access to a notebook that can be managed online, along with sharing capabilities and a range of documentation methods suitable for any research- or class-related purpose.
Key Features
  • A Cloud-based solution with unlimited storage space.
  • Supports addition of links, files and images, with all content immediately backed up and protected (no file type limits).
  • Files may be opened and edited directly in Office Online.
  • Content can be organized hierarchically (similarly to a Windows folder tree).
  • Only PIs authorized to create new notebooks.
General Information
  • 4 GB maximum file size.
  • Files accessible online only (unless notebook set to offline or files downloaded to user computers).
  • Notebooks of sizes approaching 1 TBs may result in work slowdowns.
  • Documents may be opened directly in Office Online, with and interface limited compared to documents stored in the system.
Permission Management Notebook sharing permissions are set by PIs.
