Personal Counseling Services

1. Personal Counseling Services

Active Students and postdoctoral fellows may receive professional mental health assistance through the Weizmann Social Services.

The service is given as follows:

Source of referral: If you are interested in the services, contact the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer and complete the Psychological Counseling Application Form Login Page.

After completing the form, the options are as follows:

- The student/postdoc will be referred to a list of outsourced certified psychologists and clinical social workers in the Rehovot area.

- Student/postdoc is entitled to choose a professional not on the list if the WIS social worker verifies their credentials before enrolling in the therapy.

- Student/postdoc who is already in therapy with a specific therapist and wishes to continue treatment while receiving the subsidy will be required to submit the therapist’s professional license to the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer for review. Subsidies will be approved only for therapists who hold a valid clinical license (clinical psychologist or licensed clinical social worker).
After the documents are reviewed and approved by the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer or
the social worker, the student will be eligible to receive the therapy session subsidy. Scope of therapy: Up to 30 meetings.

Participation fee and reimbursement

Participation fee – 80 NIS per session

Reimbursement is up to 400 NIS per session (after deducting NIS 80 per session).

Please submit original receipts by email to the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer.

Students and postdoctoral fellows who are insured through Harel Insurance Company

Students insured through Harel will first use the psychological services covered by their insurance plan. If they require additional sessions after exhausting their insurance benefits, they may contact us to receive supplementary treatments, ensuring their total eligibility matches that of other students up to 30 subsidized therapy sessions.

The reimbursement process is between the student/postdoc and the Health Insurance company. Submit by email proof of reimbursement from  Health Insurance, along with receipts, to the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer.

The deductible is 80 NIS; the WSoS will reimburse you the difference.
