If you have classes scheduled from 13:00 onward, please check your email and the course Moodle page throughout the morning. Updates on whether classes will take place via Zoom or be canceled will be shared there. Medical School students should follow the instructions sent directly by the Medical School.

This document outlines the updated academic accommodations and support measures for reserve duty personnel, permanent service members, injured students, and their families following Operation “Roar of the Lion.”
The framework includes academic flexibility, exam adjustments, deadline extensions, tutoring support, mental health assistance, and faculty-specific accommodations to help students and postdocs continue their studies and research successfully during the 2025–2026 academic year.
We are excited to welcome you to the second semester on 12 April and are preparing to begin studies either remotely or in person, depending on the final recommendations of the Home Front Command, which will be confirmed by Saturday.

Please note that students and postdocs are expected to continue their research activities during these three days.

The opening of Semester 2 at the Weizmann School of Science has been postponed to April 12, 2026, instead of March 15, due to the current security situation and Home Front Command guidelines.
As a result, the semester will be shortened by one week and will conclude on July 3, 2026.

The Weizmann School of Science has shared a set of well-being resources intended to support students and postdoctoral researchers in coping with stress and anxiety during this challenging period.

Dear All, The Weizmann School of Science has issued an update informing students and postdocs that campus activities are currently taking place remotely. Exams scheduled for this period have been postponed and will be rescheduled with advance notice. Academic extensions will be granted as needed, and stipends will continue as usual. Following our recent announcement regarding the Emergency Support Fund, please note the following clarifications:
1. Submission Deadline
The deadline to submit the application form remains July 15, 2025.
Additional supporting documents (such as receipts or confirmations) may be submitted until July 30, 2025.
2. Flight Reimbursement Clarification
Travel expenses may be reimbursed for round-trip flights to/from Israel that were made in response to the emergency situation.

Therefore, as of today from 1pm in the afternoon onwards, all WSoS activities (including among others, classes, tutorials and lab activities) are to be resumed.

Last night, Israel experienced an aerial attack launched by Iran, which was successfully repelled by the IDF and our allies.
This morning, the Homefront Command announced that except for educational activities, all other institutions and activities in Israel return to normal, including the Ben Gurion International Airport which resumed its regular activity.
Dear students, tutors, and lecturers,
Per the Home Front Command’s instruction, all educational activities will not be held in the next 48 hours. Therefore, there will be no classes, exams, and tutorial sessions, tomorrow – Sunday, April 14, 2024, and Monday- April 15, 2024.
We will update you according to the governmental and institutional instructions.

The Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) and the Feinberg Graduate School (FGS) have been embracing their Israeli and international students and postdoctoral fellows on account of the state of emergency declared in Israel as a result of the events that transpired on October 7.
