Accessibility and disabilities
General
The Weizmann School of Science (WSoS) is willing to ensure equal rights, inclusion, and accessibility for students and postdoctoral fellows with disabilities. The school strives to provide appropriate and convenient access to all facilities, services, and academic frameworks, thereby enabling students with disabilities to participate fully and comfortably in their studies and training.
Accessibility and Adjustments
The WSoS recognizes the importance of removing barriers and is committed to implementing the necessary accessibility arrangements and accommodation for students with physical, sensory, or other disabilities. These measures are designed to support equal opportunity and to create an inclusive learning environment.
Processing the application
Students with a disability who require specific accessibility arrangements or accommodations are required to contact the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer .
Required Documents
To help us review your request for accessibility accommodation, please provide one or more of the following documents:
- Relevant medical documentation confirming the disability and outlining specific accessibility needs.
A valid disability certificate issued by an authorized body.
Any other document or certificate supporting your request for accessibility accommodation.
You are also welcome to include a short description of the accommodation or accessibility arrangements that would best support your comfort and full participation in academic life.
Approval and Implementation
Upon receiving the request, the Students and Postdocs Wellbeing Officer will coordinate with all relevant WSoS offices and authorities to ensure the student’s needs are met. The school will make every effort to implement the necessary accessibility arrangements promptly, ensuring the student’s comfort and full participation throughout their academic journey.
