What is the difference between Yeda and Bina?

Bina is an internal scientific unit while Yeda is a separate corporation formed by the Institute. Bina supports early-stage research at Institute laboratories, including projects and ideas in the basic and applied research domain, while Yeda acquires the intellectual property generated at the Institute for patent protection and commercialization. Projects that start at Bina, where we guide researchers in developing the project toward an applied goal, may potentially be commercialized by Yeda when the research achieves an adequate level of maturity.
