Brief

ENGAGE is an EU-funded project aiming at achieving widespread integration of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) teaching across Europe, in order to better encourage students for active participation in a 21st century world shaped by science and technology. The goal of the project is to change students’ perceptions of school science – from a body of uncontested, value-free knowledge, towards a more critical, reflective stance. It is hoped that the shift in perspective will be accomplished through a research-based program for teacher growth, focusing on science teachers’ values and knowledge, as well as transforming their classroom practice.
