Brief

This project deals with the development of CPKs (Customized Pedagogical Kits) for the teaching and learning of high school chemistry. The CPKs are based on diagnosing students’ misconceptions regarding the subject matter, and researching the impact of these misconceptions on both teachers and students. The students' level of conceptual understanding is assessed by using diagnostic tasks developed by the chemistry project team. The CPKs are unique, since they provide a specific, differential responses to each student, tailored to his / her perceptions and knowledge, by referring to elements in his / her current understanding. The kits include instructions for teachers as well as activities for students both in Hebrew and Arabic.
