Brief

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) provide access to high-quality educational materials to anyone with an internet connection. However, no standards currently exist for valid, reliable, and fair assessment of students in MOOCs. Our work combines methods from Psychometrics and Machine Learning in order to develop techniques capable of measuring various aspects of student learning in MOOCs.
