Brief
This project seek to advance the implementation of interdisciplinary dialogic argumentation through supportive teachers' professional development courses.
This research project examines the impact that a professional development program for teachers has in promoting dialogic argumentative and collaborative talk in schools. This impact is inspected in lower secondary schools, and across central disciplines in learning which are traditionally compartmentalized: science, mathematics, and the humanities. The project is funded by the Israel Science Foundation Center of Excellence for Promoting Meaningful Learning (ISF 2699/17), in collaboration with Prof. Baruch Schwarz from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Prof. Einat Heyd-Metzuyanim from the Technion, Prof. Michal Tabach from Tel Aviv University, and Prof. Boris Koichu from the Weizmann Institute.
