Brief

This project aims to track the first signs of biological mechanistic reasoning in elementary school students. Through interviews with the students, we explore the ways they construct mechanistic explanations and evaluate different types of explanations (mechanistic and non-mechanistic). The main goal of this project is to develop tools that will foster the development of mechanistic reasoning in biology.
