Brief
Mathematics teachers personalize activities for their students, and share them with other teachers in the PeTeL-Math community.
PeTeL-Math is part of a department-wide project that provides an environment for personalized teaching and learning. The PeTeL-Math environment offers a rich collection of mathematical activities that can be integrated in middle and high-school mathematics lessons. All the activities are aligned with the mathematics curriculum, and address specific didactic needs, such as activities for opening a new topic, mathematical inquiry, attending to student errors and misconceptions, moving between representations, or drilling-made-fun.
The PeTeL environment is unique in its support for sharing among registered teachers. Activities prepared by the PeTeL team are immediately available to all participating teachers for enactment in their classrooms, and teachers can create local modifications, or even completely new activities, and share them selectively with the nation-wide PeTeL-Math community.
