Brief

Development of teaching units for 9th grade that focus on solving complex problems in the context of the real world, with an emphasis on mathematical modeling and proof competences

 

 

Program:
• Solving complex problems in real world contexts
• Mathematical modeling competences
• Mathematical proof competences
• High order levels of thinking in mathematics
• In accordance with levels 5-6 in the conceptual framework of PISA
• In accordance with the 9th grade curriculum

Classroom Teaching Framework:
• 15 study units
• 2 hours per week
• A total of 30 hours

Target audience:
• Advanced 9th grade students
Mathematics Teacher Communities:
• Lead teachers – 60 hours
• Teachers – 30/60 hours
