Secure Browsing

The Weizmann Institute, as all other organizations, is facing a fast growing number of cyber and information security threats to individuals and systems.  These threats that cannot be handled by legacy Internet access mechanisms.

The new secure Internet browsing system provides better protection for workstations, organizational data and user’s private data. The implemented Internet access policy aims to allow users the freedom to surf the Internet freely without limitation. The exception to this rule is Web sites that pose a security risk, such as malware sources, botnet, C&C servers, and phishing and scam Web sites.

If you experience slowness and/or receive a block/alert when accessing Web pages that are considered safe, please report it to the Service Desk (at extension 4444).
