About

The Department of Chemical Research Support is a central research resource facility of the Weizmann Institute of Science. The scientists, engineers and technicians of the department operate state-of-the-art instrumentation and provide all institute researchers with access, training, analyses and consultation in their respective fields of expertise. Our broad range of tools and methods covers most aspects of the study of the properties of materials in a physical, chemical or biological setting.

We aim at tailoring a complete solution for every user – from being a “one-stop-shop” for beginners to training advanced users to perform experiments and analyses by themselves. The department covers a wide range of methodologies, including electron (and correlative) microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nanofabrication, X-ray diffractometry and spectroscopy, surface analysis, analytical chemistry, ultrafast laser spectroscopy, organic synthesis and computational chemistry.
