We are pleased to announce that Tamir Kadishi is joining the Weizmann Institute of Science as Head of its Finance Division. He is replacing Yuval Lazarov, who has filled this position in the past few years, and who is now moving to the private sector.

Tamir Kadishi graduated from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev with a degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting, and became a Certified Accountant in 1995. He commenced his professional career at Ernst & Young – one of the four largest accounting firms in the world. Tamir has extensive experience in financial management in private companies and public organizations, in managing and leading teams, and in policy and strategic planning. In his most recent role, he served as CFO and board member of Haifa Chemicals Ltd., in which he was involved, among other activities, in raising capital, formulating financing agreements with local and foreign banks, and was responsible for the group’s cash flows.

Formerly, he was CFO at Africa Israel Industries Ltd., where he served as a director in the group’s subsidiaries, both in Israel and abroad. He has also served as the CFO of additional companies and in senior positions in several accounting firms.

Tamir was an officer in the IDF’s Artillery Corps during his military service, and an artillery battalion commander in his reserve duties.

We wish Tamir every success in his complex new role. We also extend our deep appreciation to Yuval Lazarov for his many years of service at the Institute, during which he has made a significant contribution to the Institute's budget planning and control processes. In the spirit of the current times, we wish Yuval much health, and the best of luck in the career path he has chosen.
