Bridge Position Program

The one-year Bridge Position Program is offered by the Weizmann Institute of Science to qualified Israeli women scientists who need to return to Israel prematurely, prior to completely their postdoctoral training abroad. The aim of program is to enable recipients to complete unfinished scientific work and prepare for a successful application to an academic position in Israel. 

Recipients will qualify for a position at the level of Senior Intern at the Weizmann Institute of Science. They will be affiliated with a scientific faculty or department, and will be given office space and access to other Institute facilities, but no lab space. The position is independent and does not require working with a particular research group. Except for travelling to the post-doc lab and other scientific meetings, the focus of the work will be at the Weizmann Institute.
One to two Bridge Positions will be awarded in the academic year 2023-2024.
