  • Main components of the Saturn 4 Ultra: build plate, resin vat, LCD screen, release film system
  • General workflow: from slicing to finished print

2. Safety and Lab Protocols (15–20 min)

  • Handling of photopolymer resin: gloves, goggles, and skin contact precautions
  • Importance of ventilation and use of the built-in carbon filter
  • Proper waste disposal of resin and cleaning materials (as per Weizmann’s lab safety guidelines)
  • Emergency procedures in case of spills or exposure

3. Printer Setup and Operation (25–30 min)

  • Powering on and accessing the touchscreen interface
  • Loading the build plate and resin vat correctly
  • Filling resin safely and checking the resin level
  • Automatic bed leveling process

5. Understanding the Z-axis compensation and tilt mechanism

4. Model Preparation and Slicing (20–30 min)

  • Using Chitubox or Voxeldance Tango for slicing models
  • Choosing appropriate print settings: layer height, exposure times, supports
  • Adding custom supports (important for successful resin prints)
  • Exporting and transferring print files via USB or Wi-Fi

5. Print Monitoring and Troubleshooting (10–15 min)
What to check during printing (adhesion, layer separation, resin overflow)

  • How to pause, resume, or cancel a print
  • Recognizing failed prints and safe removal

6. Post-Processing and Cleanup (20–30 min)

  • Removing the print safely from the build plate
  • Rinsing and post-curing parts (using IPA and UV curing box if available)
  • Cleaning the resin vat and screen with appropriate materials
  • Filtering and storing unused resin
